To perform the calibration procedure, at least two RF power levels are set and the corresponding ADC codes are read. The known RF power level which comes from the external RF power meter, along with the asociated ADC codes are used to calculate the SLOPE and INTERCEPT which are then stored in the system’s non-volatile RAM. Once the system has been calibrated, it can be put into operation. The RF power meter is removed and the antenna is reconnected. To precisely measure the RF power, the ADC code is read and is combined with the known SLOPE and INTERCEPT in the equation RF Power = Code/Slope + Intercept.
