Vishay's capacitor's surface-mount construction reduces the required PCB space by more than 50%
Vishay's series of surface-mount MLCC safety-certified capacitors offer the designer a manufacturing-friendly pick-and-place assembly compatible with ratings of X1 and Y2 with a minimum of 4 mm creepage on both 2008 and 2220 body sizes. The parts’ surface-mount construction reduces the required PCB space by more than 50% as compared to film capacitor options and is less costly to assemble. Certified to industrial (IEC 60384-14) and automotive (AEC-Q200) standards, the parts are suitable for many applications. They are available with standard tin terminations or tin-over-flexible-polymer terminations for improved bending.
