AM625 Human-Machine-Interaction SoC
Texas Instruments' Sitara™ microprocessor (MPU) application processors are built for Linux® application development
Texas Instruments' AM625 Sitara microprocessor (MPU) is a low-cost application processor that is built for Linux application development offering intelligent features and optimized power architecture. With scalable Arm® Cortex®-A53 performance and embedded features such as dual-display support and 3D graphics acceleration, this MPU includes an extensive set of peripherals that make the device well-suited for a broad range of industrial and automotive applications such as industrial human-machine interaction (HMI), EV-charging stations, touchless building access, and driver monitoring systems. The AM625 Sitara processors are available in an industrial-grade 13 mm x 13 mm ALW package and an AECQ100 automotive-grade 17.2 mm x 17.2 mm AMC package. The industrial and automotive functional safety requirements can be addressed using the integrated Cortex-M4F cores and dedicated peripherals, which can be isolated from the rest of the processor.
The three-port Gb Ethernet switch has one internal port and two external ports with time-sensitive networking (TSN) support. An additional PRU module enables realtime I/O capability for the user's use cases. The set of peripherals enables system-level connectivity such as a USB, an MMC/SD, a camera interface, OSPI, CAN-FD, and GPMC for a parallel host interface to an external ASIC/FPGA. The AM625 also supports a secure boot for IP protection with a built-in hardware security module (HSM) and employs advanced power-management support for portable and power-sensitive applications.
