BD142xx Series High-Precision Automotive Current Sense Amplifiers

ROHM BD142xx series high-precision current sense amplifiers are designed for automotive applications. These amplifiers operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply and feature a wide common mode voltage range from -14 V to +80 V. The series includes models BD14220G-CTR, BD14221G-CTR, BD14222G-CTR, BD14230FVJ-CE2, BD14231FVJ-CE2, and BD14232FVJ-CE2, each offering different gain options to suit various application needs. The BD1423xFVJ-C and BD1422xG-C are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive use. The BD1423xFVJ-C series is designed for high-voltage applications up to +80 V, making it suitable for systems like 48 V DC/DC converters and electric compressors. For applications requiring a more compact design, the BD1422xG-C series supports lower voltages up to +40 V and is ideal for current monitoring and protection in 5 V/12 V power supply networks. The matched gain resistor minimizes gain error and offset voltage, while the low input bias current reduces offset on the path to the shunt resistor. With high accuracy and low offset voltage, the BD142xx series is ideal for precise current sensing in automotive systems.
