Himalaya uSLIC™ Step-Down Power Modules, 4.5 V to 36 V Input, 2 A

Analog Devices' Himalaya series of voltage regulator ICs and power modules enable cooler, smaller, and simpler power supply solutions. The MAXM17635 has a high-frequency synchronous step-down DC/DC converter module with an integrated controller, MOSFETs, compensation components, and an inductor that operate over a wide input voltage range. The modules operate from a wide input voltage range of 4.5 V to 36 V input and deliver up to 2 A output current. The MAXM17635 has an adjustable-output voltage (0.9 V to 12 V) module. Fixed output versions, such as the MAXM17633 (3.3 V output) and MAXM17634 (5 V output), are also available. The modules significantly reduce design complexity and manufacturing risks, and offer a true plug-and-play power supply solution, reducing time to market.

These modules are available in a low-profile, compact 24-pin 4 mm x 4 mm x 1.75 mm, uSLIC package. They comply with the JESD22-B103/B104/B111 mechanical standard as well as the CISPR 22 electromagnetic interference (EMI) standard, helping to improve the first-time success rate for EMI certification of end products.

The modules employ peak-current-mode control architecture. To reduce input inrush current, the devices offer a programmable soft-start time.
