Infineon offers its programmable system-on-chip (PSoC) for sensor applications
Infineon's PSoC analog coprocessor is a scalable and reconfigurable platform architecture of programmable analog coprocessors that simplify designing embedded systems with multiple sensors. The PSoC analog coprocessor device combines PSoC's flexible analog front ends, programmable analog filters, and high-resolution analog-to-digital converters along with an efficient yet powerful 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M0+ based signal processing engine, enabling host processors to easily fetch aggregated, pre-processed, and formatted complex sensor data over serial communication interfaces.
The PSoC analog coprocessor pioneer kit offers footprint-compatibility with Arduino™ shields and baseboards. This kit features five onboard sensors, an RGB LED, two push-button switches, an onboard programmer/debugger and USB-UART/I2C bridge functionality block (KitProg2), and a Infineon F-RAM™. This kit supports operating voltages of 1.8 V, 3 V (coin cell operated), 3.3 V, or 5 V.
The PSoC analog coprocessor pioneer kit features five onboard sensors. The kit has two user configurable switches and an RGB LED. It also has a reset switch, a power LED, and three status LEDs. The kit can be powered from three power sources: USB, coin cell, or an external power supply. There is a power selection jumper, which allows the kit operating voltage to be selected. The kit can operate at 1.8 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V when powered from the USB port or external power supply and will operate at 3.0 V when powered from the coin cell. The USB port is used as a power source and for programming and debugging the application on PSoC analog coprocessor devices.
