Have you heard of DigiKey Digi-Spools®?

As a DigiKey customer, you’ve likely come to know us for Digi-Reels®, but have you heard of Digi-Spools? For years, customers have ordered wire and cable from DigiKey. In many cases, this comes at preset lengths, whether you order it by the 1000’ spool, or by 10’ spools. They were pre-cut to length and ready to ship as soon as you placed an order.

This works great with hook-up wire and some smaller gauge cables, but what happens if you need a 4,000’ spool of 1/0 AWG cable? DigiKey has a solution for that as well. We now accurately cut any cable diameter from 34 AWG up to 1/0 AWG to your specified length, place it on a spool, and ship it to you. This service is available on a wide breadth of products. There are no splices, it is all 100% continuous, and it is guaranteed to meet your unique specifications. Some cable-cutting shops will short you on length; if you order 1000’, you might get 980’. Not DigiKey. If you order 1000’, that’s what will be sent to you.

But wait, there’s more. Along with there being no splices, accurate cuts (no negative tolerance), and a wide breadth of product selection, you also get the UL certification from the manufacturer. And there is no order minimum; if you need 1’, we will send you 1’. We carry the top names in the business for you to choose from Igus, Lapp, Helukabel, TE, Belden, Panduit, and more.

Recently, we expanded our operation to include Fiber Optic cable from Panduit as well. Just like the rest of the products in our portfolio, you can now order Fiber Optic cable with rough cut ends at any length you need, all on a spool.
