To support many of the LED lighting solutions previously discussed TI has recently released a couple of ICs for the general LED lighting market. The first of these devices are the UCC28810/11LED lighting power controllers…. devices specified specifically for off-line LED lighting. These ICs are transition mode controllers, somewhat analogous to hysteretic controllers. The difference between the two is that the 28810 has enhanced slew rate correction for undershoot while the 28811 has a lower UVLO and is better suited when a separate bias supply is available.
