The question asked now becomes “Why does the customer need to incorporate an already configured network Building Block?” To aggregate the network elements such as router, switches, bridges and patch panels into a cohesive network node requires additional non network related components such as structures, power supply, electrical safety components, cooling and heating systems, and a long list of other ethernet and non ethernet accessories. A network designer needs to worry about the ethernet network but should leave the structural elements to the original equipment manufacturers that have taken the time to identify the required structural and performance level parts that must be incorporated to ensure safe and secure network operations. The preconfigured network products have been configured to include all the network connections. The configuration is factory tested to ensure error free termination and assembly. During final installation the customer spends reduced or no time planning, designing, procuring and installing the pre-configured network components. The network building blocks are thermally tested and validated to withstand extreme operating conditions with factory provided thermal performance tests records. All this makes successive network deployments consistent and repeatable.
