For proper function it is necessary to ensure that the current sense transformer will not saturate, which means that the magnetic flux density stays within the limit of 220mT. This slide shows the formula and an example of how to determine the maximum magnetic flux density for the EP7 transformer. The sensed output voltage is 5V. The EP7 current sense transformer example shown is using a turn ratio of 1:100 and the maximum duty cycle is 80 percent. These values result in a flux density of 37.7mT which is far below the limit of 220mT.
