CAPAROC Modbus Power Module
The Phoenix Contact CAPAROC Modbus TCP/IP universal communication interface power module requires no special hardware, making it easy to integrate
The Phoenix Contact CAPAROC Modbus TCP/IP power module provides 12 V and 24 V DC power to breakers installed on the current rail. This power module expands the capability to interface with various Modbus solutions. All data and signals are collected and issued via the Modbus connection to the PLC. System data can be read and set from the power module. The Modbus power module ensures consistent communication and control of the circuit breaker modules that protect the end devices.
Some types of data communicated by the Modbus power module include status per channel (on/off), current settings per channel, early warning current load at a channel when >80%, current and output voltage per channel, short-circuit and overload detection, and under and overvoltage detection. There is remote access to lock local programming changes, lock all or individual channels, or lock the user interface so no changes can be made to the system.
The Modbus TCP/IP is a universal communication interface that is easy to integrate since no special hardware is needed. All PLC manufacturers can communicate via Modbus TCP/IP utilizing tables with the necessary data registers to integrate into their system.
