Texas Instruments TDC7201 Time-to-Digital Converter | DigiKey Daily
Texas Instruments' TDC7201 has two built-in time-to-digital converters and is designed for use with ultrasonic, laser, and radar range-finding equipment using time-of-flight technique. Its ability to measure simultaneously on two pairs of START and STOP pins offers high flexibility in time-measurement design. Each TDCx has an internal self-calibrated time base to measure time with resolution in the order of 55ps. The minimum time measurable in measurement mode 1 is 12ns. It is feasible to do measurements down to 0.25ns in combined measurement mode. The analog circuitry is designed to operate from an input voltage supply range between 2 V and 3.6 V, and the converter features a low active power consumption of 2.7 mA.
