The MAX11300 ICs offer 20 ports, all of which can be individually configured in a number of different modes including ADC, DAC, GPI, GPO, or analog switch terminal. MAX11300 configuration software provides easy configuration for the MAX11300 PIXI devices and all possible configuration modes. Each port can be configured through simple drag-and-drop functionality to select the mode required. The software tool generates the bitstream which users download to the target PIXI in order to configure its functionality within the end application. All configurations implemented through this software can be saved for later use. Analog Devices provides different evaluation platforms depending upon the design engineers needs. The starting point is MAX11300 Configuration Software which allows the engineer to create and save a design as a .MPIX file. The tool will generate a register map, in a .csv format. This file may be read with a GUI for download to target hardware. In this case four options are shown for MAX11300PMB1 which uses Munich GUI, the MAX11300EVKIT which uses the MAX11300EVKIT GUI, MAXREFDES39# which uses MAXREFDES39# GUI, and for embedded designs the register map will be embedded within code for programming a PIXI device in the end application.
