The LTC2379 family of 18- and 16-bit SAR ADCs supports fully differential ±5V analog inputs and data rates of up to 1.6Msps at 18-bits and 2Msps at 16-bits of resolution. The 18-bit devices provide performance of 101dB SNR, -120dB THD and maximum INL of ±2LSB. The entire LTC2379 family offers zero power dissipation during the acquisition phase, making it a true zero power sampling part. True zero power sampling and the linear scaling of power dissipation with sample rate means the LTC2379 consumes just 18mW at 1.6Msps and 18µW at 1.6ksps while supporting full 1.6Msps operation. The auto power-down mode automatically powers down the LTC2379 between conversions and during long periods of inactivity, minimizing the power dissipation to 2.25µW. This family also offers a user-friendly interface with explicit pins for BUSY, RDL (read low)/SDI, and CHAIN functions that simplifies the interface and daisy chaining of multiple ADCs on a single SPI bus. The LTC2379’s ordering options include small 16-pin MSOP or 4mm x 3mm DFN packages and commercial, industrial, or automotive temperature ranges to meet a wide range of applications.
