Honeywell’s HIH-5030 and HIH-5031 Series humidity SMD sensors were developed for high volume Original Equipment Manufacturers. These sensors may be used to sense and tightly control the level of humidity in the air, provide accurate dew point control, and measure moisture in many different  environments. This product line is very similar to Honeywell’s HIH-4030 Series SMD humidity sensors. The HIH-5030/5031 Series offers the same value, features, and benefits as the HIH-4030 Series. The primary difference is that the HIH-5030/5031 Series operates down to 2.7VDC to accommodate battery operated applications that utilize less than a 3V supply voltage. Like the HIH-4030 Series, the HIH-5030/5031 Series utilizes capacitive technology to provide an analog voltage output. Additionally, the HIH-5030/5031 Series Humidity Sensors are available with or without hydrophobic filters for use in environments where condensation may be present.
