Capacitors can have very low impedances in parallel with a transistor at RF frequencies which can result in several amperes of current flowing through small sections of the circuit at a given time. A small change in the ESR can easily lead to a large power loss in the circuit. The lower ESR and highest Q are a definite advantage in these applications.
