Many designs require the use of high capacitance values for bulk energy storage. This is typically achieved by using many capacitors in parallel. Tantalum polymer technology is quite often the preferred choice in applications where volumetric efficiency, stable electrical parameters, high reliability, and long service life are primary considerations.
