Output voltages range from 0.9 V to 4.5 V, covering the most popular voltage ranges.

With PSRR equaling 100 dB (typ.), this product can stabilize high-frequency noise which comes from external environments or DC/DC converters and can cause malfunctions. This is in addition to the intrinsic output voltage noise which has been minimized to just 5 μVRMS with Toshiba’s latest process. Dropout voltage is also critical and is just 130 mV (typ.) at 2.8 V and 300 mA output.

TCR3RM also features reduced quiescent current when compared to similar-class LDO regulators. Typically, there is a trade-off between quiescent current and noise suppression. However this LDO has reduced passive current consumption to just 7 μA (typ.) at IOUT = 0 mA. This allows for longer operating times in battery-driven devices while supplying power to sensitive ICs and other components.

This LDO is packaged in a low profile DFN4C package which measures just 1.0 mm x 1.0 mm x 0.38 mm, allowing for higher density designs in mobile consumer types of products.
