STEVAL-ROBKIT1 Robotics Evaluation Platform

The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ROBKIT1 is a comprehensive robotics evaluation platform for the development of robotics technologies and applications. The modular design of the kit includes a main board, a motor control board, and an imaging board.

The main board is driven by an STM32H725 MCU, which integrates various functionalities and controls the motor board and the imaging board. The motor board is based on an STM32G071 microcontroller dedicated to motor control and actuation using motor drivers to regulate the movement speed and direction of the robot. The imaging board is equipped with a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor and a camera module, which enable it to perceive and interact with its surroundings.

An inertial measurement unit (IMU) and magnetometer provide precise orientation and motion sensing for navigation and stability in dynamic environments. A Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) module facilitates wireless communication, enabling control through a remote interface. Dedicated firmware is included to allow the robot to move autonomously and let users try various AI algorithms.
