E2EW Metal Face Proximity Sensors

E2EW metal face proximity sensors add to Omron's growing line of long sensing distance proximity sensors with 1x, 3x, and 4x sensing distance options. The 3x and 4x sensors not only establish some of the industry's leading sensing distances for metal face proximity sensors, but also come with the added benefits of weld field immunity, factor 1 sensing, and IO-Link. Long-distance E2EW sensors are equipped to handle the most difficult weld environments without being affected by the magnetic field generated during a weld; users will not see output signal noise if monitoring part position during a weld. The E2EW family senses ferrous and non-ferrous metal at the same distance. The factor 1 technology allows users to standardize on a long-distance proximity sensor for iron and aluminum detection applications. The 3x and 4x sensors come standard with IO-Link for sensor level data collection enabling real time condition monitoring. There is the option to make these sensors more robust with Omron’s proprietary slag resistance coating that prevents the buildup of weld slag and lasts up to 60 times longer than other coatings. The extended range, factor 1 sensing, weld field immunity, and metal face durability make these proximity sensors some of the most advanced proximity sensors in Omron’s portfolio.
