
NXP i.MX RT Series of Crossover MCUs

Combining high performance with real-time functionality, the i.MX RT series of crossover processors are designed to support next-generation IoT applications. The i.MX RT1050 family is part of NXP’s EdgeVerse™ edge computing platform. The i.MX RT devices are based on Arm® Cortex®-M7 cores and offer the best of both worlds – a high level of integration and security balanced with MCU-level usability at an affordable price. Crossover processing defines a new, much-needed space in the market by helping MCU customers move up to applications processor-level of performance while staying with their current tool chain—and potentially without having to add time, cost, or complexity of Linux (or other higher level operating systems) software development to their product design cycle.
