Image of Micro Crystal RV-3032-C7 RTC/Temp Sensor ModuleMicro Crystal's RTC and temperature module RV-3032-C7 provides all standard RTC features: calendar and time from year to 100th seconds with an extremely high accuracy of ±2.5 ppm, equivalent to ±0.22 sec/day, over a wide temperature range. The accurate (±1°C) and high-resolution (0.0625°C) temperature measurement is ideal to track thermal drift or runaway. The part allows setting high- and low-temperature threshold alarms with timestamp and interrupt functions.

It also includes multiple extra functions such as external event detection, data protection through password, EEPROM, RAM, and frequency output (Hz to MHz), all available in a miniature device. The extremely low power consumption (160 nA at 3 V), combined with the integrated battery back-up switch with a trickle charger allows using multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and super-caps to provide extended backup time.

RV-3032-C7 supports a single I²C address and offers solutions to critical design constraints linked to timing accuracy, temperature sensor resolution and accuracy, power supply, positioning, size, and battery life.
