Its ultra-low quiescent current lowers no-load system current to less than 50 µA and offers higher light-load efficiency in pass-through and burst-mode operations. Pass-through allows higher output current/power, reduces dissipated power especially at higher V_IN, and improves efficiency especially at minimum V_IN. Low-noise operation in all modes provides no switching/EMI when operated in the pass-through window, and direct inductor sense and spread spectrum modulation improve EMI during switching.
