PS3C Series Connector

The PS3C series is a member of Hirose’s industrial power connector family. A single-position connector, the PS3C series is designed for storage battery applications and supports up to 150 A. It features 180º reversible mating, allowing for high flexibility in cabling design. The right angle configuration saves space around the outside of the battery, and a smaller receptacle saves space (32% reduced compared to other types) inside the battery area. 

This series also features red and black colored housings with guide keys to prevent mis-mating between the positive and negative cable leads. 

Assembly is simple, and standard commercial crimp terminals can be used with the recommended 50 mm², 38 mm², 22 mm², and 14 mm² (1/0, 2, 4, and 6 AWG) cable sizes. A bellows contact and multiple-contact design provides high contact reliability, and a specialized housing design provides IP2X finger protection. 

The rated voltage is 1000 V_AC/DC, operating temperature is -40ºC to +105ºC, with contact resistance rated at 0.3 mΩ maximum at 1 A DC. Mating cycles are rated for 100 times.  The PS3C is RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.
