XBC-M5-UT-001 3G (HSPA/GSM) Global Cellular Digi XBee® Modem

Digi's 3G (HSPA/GSM) AT&T certified cellular modem is available in their Digi XBee form factor as well a development kit. The XBC-M5-UT-001 is the Digi XBee that has 3G capability with 2G fallback connectivity for North American and global use. Supported bands include band 19 (800 MHz), band 5 (850 MHz), band 8 (900 MHz), band 2 (1900 MHz), and band 1 (2100 MHz). This modem has RF throughput of up to 921 Kbps and speeds of 7.2 Mpbs (downlink) and 5.76 Mpbs (uplink). The XBC-M5-UT-001 comes with a nano (4FF) sim slot as well as a U.FL connector for antenna connection. This Digi XBee can take a 2.7 to 5.5 voltage input and will use 700 mA at 3.3 V of current in transmit mode and 224 mA at 3.3 V in receive mode.

The XBC-M5-UT-001 is both FCC and AT &T certified and is perfect for today's Internet of Things (IoT) world. With a certified module, it allows the designer to go from concept, to prototype to finished product in less time and using less money. With Digi XBee devices can be configured locally with Digi’s free XCTU software or remotely with Digi Remote Manager®.

The XKC-M5T-W is the development kit that comes complete with one Digi XBee cellular 3G modem, one Digi XBee development board, antenna, power supply and one SIM card with six months of free cellular service (5 MB/month).
