Model PTVS-M High Current TVS Diodes

Bourns announces the release of the model PTVS-M high current TVS diode series. This series was designed for use in high power DC bus clamping applications. The model PTVS-M series offers superior performance, lower clamping voltage under surge, performance stability, and increased reliability compared to competing MOV technology.

The SMD package should simplify assembly and can reduce costs by eliminating the extra design step in cases where the power TVS diode is the only through-hole component on the printed circuit board. The model PTVS-M series’ new, overmolded surface mount package is an optimal choice for automatic pick and place assembly and reflow processes.
