ADXL314 ±200 g Range 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer

Analog Devices' ADXL314 digital output data is accessible through an SPI, 3- or 4-wire, or I2C digital interface

Image of Analog Devices' ADXL314 ±200 g Range 3-Axis Digital AccelerometerADI's ADXL314 is a ±200 g range, 13-bit resolution, 3-axis digital accelerometer. The digital output data is formatted as 16-bit, twos complement data and is accessible through a serial peripheral interface (SPI), 3- or 4-wire, or I2C digital interface.

An integrated memory management system with a 32 level, first in/first out (FIFO) buffer can store data to minimize host processor activity and lower overall system power consumption. Low power modes enable intelligent motion-based power management with threshold sensing and active acceleration measurement at low power dissipation, typically 65 μA for VS = 2.5 V at a 100 Hz output data rate (ODR).

The EVAL-ADXL314Z is a simple evaluation board that allows quick evaluation of the performance of the ADXL314 3-axis digital accelerometer. The EVAL-ADXL314Z is ideal for evaluating the ADXL314 in an existing system because the stiffness and small size of the EVAL-ADXL314Z minimize the effect of the board on both the system and acceleration measurements.

The EVAL-ADXL314-SDP is an easy-to-use customer evaluation system that allows the user a quick start on testing an evaluating the ADXL314 accelerometer. The system consists of a main board (EVAL-SDP-CB1Z evaluation platform), an interface board (EVAL-SDP-INTERZ), and a satellite board (EVAL-ADXL314Z breakout board).
