AK2A/AK3A Series ClearClock™ Crystal Oscillators

Abracon's AK2A and AK3A series ultra-low RMS jitter oscillators are designed to provide stable and accurate clock signals for high-speed applications such as data centers, 100 G/400 G/800 G Ethernet, and optical modules. These devices use third overtone technology to achieve 64 fs jitter performance and lower power consumption. As an extension of the ClearClock line, they are ideal for applications requiring a reference frequency between 100 MHz and 212.5 MHz with need lane rates up to 400 Gbps.

The AK2A and AK3A series are the perfect solution for compact designs as they still support industry-standard footprints of 2.5 mm x 2.0 mm and 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm but substantially improve the jitter performance over the AK2 and AX3 families. These oscillators offer various output logics, such as LVPECL, LVDS, and HCSL. While still delivering reliable and efficient oscillations, these devices maintain ±25 ppm stability over an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and ±15 ppm stability over -20°C to +70°C.
