Customizing Cable Assemblies

My favorite commercial of all time is “The Showdown”. The commercial is a competition between two greats; Larry Bird vs. Michael Jordan as they compete for a McDonald’s™ burger and fries. On one knee, off the floor, off the scoreboard, off the backboard, off the bleachers, no rim, nothing but net! This commercial is funny, ridiculous and over the top! It does display their amazing athletic abilities to the World (at the time) and it showed their limitless range of excellence. If you haven’t had a chance to look at this “old time” commercial, I highly recommend it.

So, you ask, what does this have to do with Molex’s Custom Cable Creator? Well if you look at Molex’s connector portfolio options, popular series like PicoBlade, Micro-Fit, Mini-Fit, Milli-Grid, Nano-Fit, Ultra-Fit, KK 254, DuraClik, Mega-Fit, Pico-Clasp, CLIK-Mate and so many more... it makes you wonder, "Is there anything the Molex Custom Cable Creator can't do?" With their limitless options available, customers can easily design their own pinouts, pick the colors of their wires, UL styles, circuit sizes, length of cable, and greatly simplify the search that can become cumbersome.  Molex will even provide a concept drawing, 3D model, and a sample!

Molex and DigiKey take that even a step further by providing the Molex Custom Cable Creator right on DigiKey’s website, where we will work directly with Molex Engineers to get you a quote as fast as possible. Now that is some amazing teamwork! Swish!

If you are looking for something more standard that doesn’t require a lot of customization, you can always review over 50 different series of Molex standard cable assemblies that we have stocking at DigiKey.com.
