JT11GLE and JT21GLE Oscillators

The Jauch Quartz JT11GLE and JT21GLE series low-voltage temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) have been specially developed for use in navigation devices. Satellite-based navigation systems (such as GPS and GNSS) are especially demanding regarding the precision and frequency stability of an oscillator. These high standards are met by both the JT11GLE and JT21GLE, guaranteeing a frequency stability of ±0.5 ppm in a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. These TCXOs enable precise positioning even under the most demanding external conditions.

Navigation applications are frequently exposed to temperature fluctuations in everyday life. When developing the JT11GLE and JT21GLE, special attention was paid to the influence of ambient temperature on the frequency stability of the TCXO. With a maximum change of 0.1 ppm per temperature step (maximum 2°C) and hysteresis of maximum 0.6 ppm, both the JT11GLE and JT21GLE meet the requirements of all common navigation applications.

The JT11GLE and JT21GLE are available in the frequency of 26.0 MHz for navigation systems. A supply voltage of either 1.2 V or 1.8 V is required to operate the TCXO. These devices are housed in  ultra-compact miniature packages measuring 1.6 mm x 1.2 mm (JT11GLE) and 2.0 mm x 1.6 mm (JT21GLE). They both have clipped-sine output and are optimized for low power consumption. The JT11GLE and JT21GLE TCXOs are ideally suited for use in small, portable devices.
