Another critical degradation mechanism for Li-Ion cells is high temperature storage. In particular, if a cell is stored at fully charged condition, in a high temperature environment, the effective output capacity will be decreased. For best long-term stability, Li-Ion cells are best stored in cool/room temp environments at around 50% state of charge.
