Due to the number of ports and configurable options, MAX11300 delivers a complete solution for system control and monitoring, as well as external temperature sensing and monitoring. PIXI ports provide highly flexible hardware configuration for 12-bit mixed-signal applications. Typical applications include 12-bit servo loops such as PA Biasing, CNC, or sensors. System monitoring and housekeeping functions such as thermal control, calibration of drift/offset/trim/bias/margining/gain, safety monitoring such as alarms/shutdown/Over Temperature/Over Current/Over Voltage, and power supply monitoring. Note that current is measured with an external Current Sense Amplifier such as MAX44285. The MAX11300 is also used for switching or High Voltage multiplexing, and level shifting (or digital to digital voltage translation) as often needed for I2C interfaces. Multiple control feedback loops are demonstrated within a single MAX11300 device, including thermal management, motor speed control, voltage to current conversion, and precision load management.
