This part of the module explores the most important features and benefits of the Han-Fast® Lock contact system. The contacts can be crimped to a range of wire diameters including 8, 10 and 12 AWG wires. A 14 AWG version is planned for 2014. This allows a variety of working currents to be handled up to 60 A with 8 AWG (10.0 mm2) wires. The voltage rating depends upon the spacing of the plated thru holes on the PCB. The PCB locking element has two positions, up for plugging to the board and down to lock the contact to the PCB. Releasing the contact from the board is simple too, just push up on the button exposed at the bottom of the locked contact to remove and re-position on the board.
