JCG Series DC-DC Converters

XP Power's JCG Series of low-power, isolated and regulated DC/DC converters come in an industry-standard metal-cased 24-DIP package measuring just 1.25 x 0.80 x 0.40 inches. The converters offer 12 and 15 Watt output models with a 2:1 input voltage range. The 24-DIP format makes them suitable as a low-cost drop-in replacement or a power upgrade in existing end products; saving the need to re-design the PCB layout.

The units offer the wide 2:1 input voltage options of 9 V_DC to 18 V_DC, 18 V_DC to 36 V_DC, or 36 V_DC to 75 V_DC, covering the nominal application voltages of 12 V_DC, 24 V_DC, and 48 V_DC. Single output models are available with an output voltage of 2.5 V_DC, 3.3 V_DC, 5 V_DC, 12 V_DC, or 15 V_DC. Dual output models offer ±12 V_DC or ±15 V_DC outputs. The outputs are regulated to within ±0.5% over all input conditions and to less than ±1% for all load conditions, and provide 1,600 V_DC of isolation.

The units operate over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. No additional heat sinking or forced airflow is required for the converter to achieve its full output rating.

The JCG series feature a remote on/off signal. This can be used to control the output rails or to sequence start-up procedures.

These highly-efficient DC/DC converters, up to 91%, are extremely reliable with an MTBF greater than 1 million hours.

All units feature overvoltage and continuous short-circuit protection.
