WE-PoE Power over Ethernet (PoE) Transformers

Würth Elektronik, in collaboration with Skyworks, has added three parts to the standard Power over Ethernet (PoE) transformers portfolio. Würth Elektronik worked alongside the design engineer from the early specification stages to the final product which met the most stringent EMC requirements and smallest SMD mounting footprint. The three transformers are developed for standard PoE applications, with up to 15 W output, and are designed with low-leakage inductance in mind for low-radiated emissions in flyback configuration, high efficiency, and high switching frequency. Applications that can make use of PoE include, but are not limited to, voiceover IP phones, wireless access points, surveillance IP cameras, and point-of-sale terminals.
