Vishay's PTC thermistors are mini-radial-leaded for over-temperature protection
Vishay's PTCSL03 series mini-radial-leaded PTC thermistors for over-temperature protection have low-resistance below the sensing temperature and switch to high-resistance when they reach the sensing temperature. The PTC over-temperature sensor is used in applications such as industrial electronics, power supplies, and motors.
These PTC sensing thermistors consist of a medium resistivity doped barium titanate ceramic with copper clad steel wires lead- (Pb)-free soldered to the Ag metalized pellet. A high-temperature silicone coating covers the sensing body and has a temperature-marking character.
