The high temperature range of -40°C to +150°C makes this device suitable for applications such as belt starter generators, water pumps, cooling fans, and soot sensors which may experience greater than +125°C ambient temperature.

The ISO7741E-Q1 device provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions at low power consumption while isolating the CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/Os. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer that is separated by a double capacitive silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier. This isolator comes with enable pins which can put the respective outputs in high impedance for multi-master driving applications and reduce power consumption. The ISO7741E-Q1 offers three forward channels and one reverse-direction channel. If the input power or signal is lost, the default output is high for devices without the F suffix (ISO7741) and low for devices with the F suffix (ISO7741F).

Used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, this isolator helps prevent noise currents on data buses such as CAN and other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. Through innovative chip design and layout techniques, electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO7741E-Q1 is significantly enhanced to ease system-level ESD, EFT, surge, and emissions compliance. The ISO7741E-Q1 device is available in a 16-pin SOIC package.
