STMicroelectronics' STM32U5F7/5G7 and STM32U5F9/5G9 lines embed NeoChrom VG (vector graphics) GPU to design smartphone-like UI while keeping the ease of use of microcontrollers. The product embeds a JPEG CODEC, a large amount of SRAM (3 MB) for the frame buffers, and 4 MB of Flash for code and asset storage. A serial Flash can be associated with the product to store more graphics assets. The solution comes in a wide variety of packages, including easy-to-assemble LQFP100 and 144 packages, which allow users to design stunning graphics on 4-layer PCBs, as demonstrated with the STM32U5G9J-DK2.
