It simplifies the prototyping, evaluation, and development of wireless industrial sensor nodes for predictive maintenance applications. All the components are top-side mounted for easy placement on other equipment. Comprehensive software and firmware libraries enable time and frequency domain vibration analyses and help accelerate custom application development.

The main board includes the ultra-low-power and compact STM32WB5MMG wireless radio module (FCC ID: YCP-STM32WB5M001 and IC: 8976A-STM32WB5M01), which offers multiprotocol connectivity from a single module. The main board also integrates the STSAFE-A110 secure element for authentication and secure data management services to a local or remote host.

The STEVAL-PROTEUS is powered by a rechargeable LiPo battery (included) and can also be powered via USB (5 V at 500 mA) or via a primary battery (not included). An application example firmware with dedicated algorithms is preloaded in the STM32WB5MMG Flash memory to immediately demonstrate wireless vibration and temperature node monitoring.
