xG27 Wireless SoCs

Silicon Labs' xG27 family of wireless SoCs features Bluetooth®- and Zigbee®-based IoT devices. The small SoC packages offer ultra-low power, high performance, and reliable security. Additional development tools include an EFR32xG27 development board, +8 dBm radio board, and +8 dBm Pro Kit.

The Bluetooth 5.x EFR32BG27 and multiprotocol EFR32MG27 Wireless Gecko SoCs are ideal for enabling energy-friendly networking for IoT devices. The single-die solution combines a 76.8 MHz Cortex®-M33 with a high-performance 2.4 GHz radio to provide an industry-leading, energy efficient wireless SoC for IoT-connected applications. The devices are available with boost or buck DC/DC capabilities, enabling direct power from a wide variety of batteries.

The development board, radio board, and pro kit are available for the xG27 development process. The xG27-DK2602A development board is a compact, feature-packed development platform providing the fastest path to develop and prototype wireless IoT products. The xG27-RB4194A +8 dBm radio board is designed to work with the WSTK main board (not included) to support the development of wireless IoT devices based on 2.4 GHz wireless protocols, including BLE, Bluetooth Mesh, and Zigbee. The xG27-PK6017A +8 dBm Pro Kit is designed to support the development of wireless IoT devices based on 2.4 GHz wireless protocols including BLE, Bluetooth Mesh, and Zigbee. The Pro Kit includes a radio board that provides a complete reference design for the EFR32xG27 wireless SoC. The WSTK main board contains an onboard J-Link debugger with a packet trace interface and a virtual COM port, enabling application development and debugging of the attached radio board as well as external hardware through an expansion header. The EFR32xG27 Pro Kit provides all the necessary tools for developing high-volume, scalable 2.4 GHz wireless IoT solutions.
