SiMG301/SiBG301 Next-Generation Series 3 Low Power Multiprotocol Wireless SoCs — Coming Soon!
Silicon Labs SiMG301/SiBG301 devices meet the demands of the IoT market, offering enhanced computer capabilities, robust security, and superior RF performance
Silicon Labs SiMG301 and SiBG301 Next-Generation Series 3 ultra-low power IoT SoCs are tailored for line-powered smart devices such as LED lighting, smart plugs, and switches. These devices are engineered to meet the evolving demands of the IoT market, offering enhanced computer capabilities, robust security, and superior RF performance. A multi-core architecture featuring a 150 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 for application development and dedicated cores for radio and security enable engineers to build feature-rich, secure, and efficient connected products.
SiMG301 and SiBG301 feature Secure Vault™ High, designed for PSA Level 3 certification. This advanced security suite includes tamper detection, authenticated XIP, and concurrent processing, ensuring data and device integrity. The memory configurations of up to 4 MB internal Flash and support for 8 MB external Flash allow for demanding applications, including concurrent multiprotocol support. This enables simultaneous operation of Zigbee® and Matter over Thread (MoT), simplifying bill of materials (BOM) management and enhancing user experience.
For lighting applications, select devices in these families integrate PIXELRZ, a single-wire communication interface for LED controller ICs, and a built-in LED pre-driver. These features streamline design, reduce BOM, and lower overall product cost. Engineers benefit from consistent dimming performance and simplified hardware integration, making these SoCs ideal for smart lighting solutions.
Complementing the SoCs are several development kits, including the SixG301-PK6037A Pro Kit, RB4407A and RB4408A SixG301 Radio Boards, and the EK2719A Explorer Kit. These kits support 2.4 GHz wireless protocols such as BLE, Bluetooth® Mesh, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter. They feature integrated antennas, U.FL connectors for RF testing, and breakout pads for GPIO access, enabling rapid prototyping and evaluation. The explorer kit adds user-friendly features like onboard debugging, LEDs, buttons, and third-party add-on connectors for expanded functionality.
The SixG301 family empowers engineers with a comprehensive platform for developing secure, high-performance IoT devices. Whether optimizing for lighting control, wireless connectivity, or secure data handling, the SiMG301 and SiBG301 families provide the tools and flexibility needed to accelerate design cycles and bring innovative products to market efficiently.
