Semtech’s TVS diodes protect automotive high-speed serializer/deserializer (SerDes) from threats

When designing a high-speed SerDes interface system for a severe automotive environment, ensuring sufficient protection from electrical overstress (EOS) events is prudent. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection can be achieved by placing transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes on the SerDes lines to protect the interface during the fast rise time transient events. Semtech offers a broad range of TVS diodes to protect automotive SerDes applications from such threats.
