Image of Riedon™ products by Bourns Current Sensing Resistors - MT SeriesLow-value resistors can be used to sense when the current is too high so measurements can be taken upstream before the excess current causes damage. Metal elements have very low inductance, good response to fast rise-time transients, and good surge-handling capabilities. Riedon™ products by Bourns MT series resistors are available from 1 W to 10 W with 1% and 5% tolerance as standard. TCRs range from ±20 ppm/°C to ±180 ppm/°C and resistance values range from 0.003 Ω to 0.2 Ω. Applications for the MT series include instrumentation, audio equipment, automotive current sensing circuits, switching and linear power supplies, access control, regulators, and power amplifiers.
