Image of Renesas' RH850/C1M-A 32-Bit MCUs Renesas' low-power RH850/C1M-A microcontroller (MCU) is designed for highly cost-optimized ASIL-C automotive traction motor control systems. The RH850/C1M-A can strongly contribute to overall system cost reduction with its embedded motor-control IP (EMU3) to unload the CPU for additional function integration and an embedded resolver to digital converter (RDC) to reduce the number of chips and PCB space. Several types of position sensors can be interfaced such as resolvers and inductive concepts.

Adding to Renesas’ Easy to Start Program, the RH850/C1M-A2 releases sample provisioning, an HW/SW starter kit, necessary documents, MCAL, and other application-relevant software, enabling the user to evaluate this product solution on-the-fly.
