Renesas' 240 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 with a high-speed real-time engine for motor control
Renesas' easy-to-use RA6T2 motor control MCUs feature a rich set of peripheral functions and hardware accelerators designed specifically for motor control to deliver an unmatched combination of performance, features, and cost efficiency for motor control. The devices feature an enhanced CPU and hardware accelerators and can realize high-end motor algorithms for next generation home appliance and industrial automation. RA6T2 continues the ease of use of the RA family with the flexible software package (FSP) and Arm partner ecosystem for highly efficient and accurate motor control.
RA6T2 devices can control two brushless DC motors with a single chip. Functions designed for motor control include PWM timer, high-speed 12-bit ADC, PGA, comparator, and PWM cutoff function. RA6T2's embedded accelerator provides enhanced control with a trigonometric function unit (TFU) for high-speed calculation, and IIR filter calculation of secondary or higher is possible.

- RA6T2 CPU board (RTK0EMA270C00000BJ) with R7FA6T2BD3CFP (240 MHz, 512 KB Flash memory, 64 KB SRAM, 100-pin LQFP) equipped with an on-chip debugger (Segger J-Link OB) for easy evaluation by simply connecting the kit to a computer via USB cable
- 48 V compatible inverter board (RTK0EM0000B12020BJ) supports three shunt inputs
- GUI tool (motor workbench): Renesas motor work bench 2.0 supports 20 kHz real-time debugging and digital oscilloscope functionality to analyze and adjust the parameters required for motor control while operating the motor with GUI tools
- App notes, samples, and FSP support; FSP makes it easy to port sample code to users' programs
