Radiocrafts' industrial IP mesh (RIIM) is a license and subscription-free embedded RF system designed to be a long-range, ultra-low-power, easy-to-use mesh with direct IP addressing. The RIIM module includes all the critical components for a complete wireless communication mesh network and is FCC- and CE-certified. As a result, it is ready to go once the module arrives.
With a RIIM mesh network users can cover an area as large as 40 km² (25 mi²) with up to 1,000 battery-operated devices reliably (99.99% data transmission success rate). Battery-operated devices support 35 µA at 3.3 V average power consumption for a battery lifetime of 15+ years. In addition, RIIM has a 150-kbps mode for applications requiring higher data capacity.
RIIM includes ICI, which makes it possible to interface directly with any sensor or actuator. In its simplest form, the ICI application just configures the radio network and modules’ hardware interfaces and defines when to read and write to those interfaces.
In addition, RIIM supports Mist Computing and symmetrical two-way communication for over-the-air updates, reduced bandwidth requirements, and fast response time to local events.
RIIM targets control networks where fast time-to-market/low engineering effort is desired.
