Otii Battery Toolbox

The Qoitech Otii Battery Toolbox (BT) is a software license that enhances the capabilities of Otii instruments to enable engineers to perform battery profiling, simulation, testing, and validation in low-power embedded systems. Otii BT can be enabled in the Otii desktop application, which runs on Windows®, Ubuntu, macOS, and Raspberry Pi.
An Otii instrument is required to operate the license.

- Connect multiple units via USB hub to discharge multiple batteries simultaneously
- Model sleep and active modes
- Create battery discharge profiles to match application behavior with low discharge for sleep mode and high discharge for active mode conditions
- Three options for battery discharge
- Discharge with constant current, keeping current steady as voltage drops
- Discharge with constant power, adjusting current as voltage drops
- Discharge by simulating a resistance connected to the battery
- Use Otii instruments as battery
- Simulates an actual battery by following a custom discharge profile
- Adjusts output voltage based on load, mimicking internal resistance and voltage drop
- Fixed and follow discharge options
- The fixed option emulation simulates the battery at a constant used capacity, staying at a specific point on the discharge curve
- The follow option simulates real-time discharge, adjusting the battery behavior as energy is consumed, with the position on the curve moving as the device draws power
- Parallel and series battery set-ups
- Emulate set-ups with battery cells in parallel (up to four cells) or in series, depending on the open circuit voltage (OCV)
- Max OCV: 5 V for Otii Arc Pro and 25 V for Otii Ace Pro
- Battery validation
- Charge, discharge in single or multiple steps, cycle discharges, and design custom scenarios
- Test and validate one or multiple batteries in real-time
- Only for Otii Ace Pro
- Battery emulation
- Use any Otii instrument to act as a battery, following a discharge curve of a specific discharge profile
- Simulate the battery and get the actual capacity value of the application
