Battery Pole Connectors and Busbar Connections
Phoenix Contact's battery pole connectors and busbar connections simplify the power management connectivity required of the ESS
Phoenix Contact's battery pole and battery busbar connectors enable pluggable, reliable, and safe connectivity for energy storage systems (ESS). The connectors designed for these standardized DC storage systems handle up to 1,500 VDC and up to 350 A. Both connector systems, the battery pole and the busbar, simplify the power management connectivity required of the ESS and can be used in tandem or separately as dictated by application needs and preferences.
Battery Pole Connector Features
- Rated voltage of up to 1,500 VDC
- Conductor cross-sections and nominal currents: 16 mm² to 25 mm² up to 120 A, 35 mm² up to 140 A, 50 mm² to 70 mm² up to 200 A, and 95 mm² up to 350 A
- IP67 degree of protection, greater than 100 insertion cycles
- Can be rotated 360°: ideal for flexible cable outlets
- No incorrect plugging: battery connection protected against polarity reversal by mechanical coding
- Safe installation: touch-protected battery terminals even when not plugged in
- Various color versions facilitate the identification of battery poles
- Flexible installation with different connection technologies on the device side
Busbar Connection Features
- System voltage up to 1,500 VDC with nominal currents from 40 A to 200 A
- For busbars with a width of 5 mm
- High tolerance compensation of ±4 mm
- IP20 degree of protection, greater than 50 insertion cycles
- Quick installation: direct contacting of battery modules on the busbar in the rack
- Safe installation: touch-protected battery terminals even when not plugged in
- Diverse areas of application: modular design allows different currents
- Plug-in system with an integrated interface: no wiring effort during installation
