Utilized with several Cortex® A7 and A9 single and dual-core application processors, NXP Semiconductor's PF3000 PMIC powers the core processor, external memory, and peripherals to provide a single-chip system power solution. PF3000 integrates four programmable buck voltage regulators and six linear regulators with low power state retention from a 2.8 V to 5.5 V input voltage. With on-chip, one-time programmable (OTP) memory, it is available in a pre-programmed standard version for i.MX 6UL, 6ULL, 6SL, 6SX, and i.MX 7S, 7D system support, or a non-programmed version to support custom start-up sequence. Compatibility with these i.MX applications processors is shown in multiple reference designs with associated SW board support packages and facilitates software controlled, dynamic voltage scaling. For always-on applications, PF3001 product variant is also available at a slightly improved price.
