MCU-Link Pro

NXP's debug probe features a high-speed USB interface for high-performance debug

Image of NXP's MCU-Link ProJointly developed by NXP and Embedded Artists, MCU-Link Pro is the second debug probe based on NXP’s MCU-Link architecture. MCU-Link Pro adds several features to the MCU-Link base model introduced in 2020, including energy measurement. The probe can be used seamlessly with MCUXpresso IDE and is also compatible with 3rd party IDEs that support CMSIS-DAP or J-Link protocols. MCU-Link Pro includes not only a USB-to-UART bridge feature (VCOM) but also USB-to-SPI and I2C for convenient in-system programming and host application development. MCU-Link Pro is based on the LPC55S69 microcontroller and features a high-speed USB interface for high-performance debug.

MCU-Link Pro is compatible with Windows 10, MacOS, and Linux, and a free utility from NXP provides an easy way to install firmware updates. The USB bridge features are supported by free libraries available for all supported host OSes.

MCU-Link-Pro provides a standard CMSIS-DAP interface to host debug software, so it may be used with IDEs that support this protocol. J-Link firmware option may also be used with any of these IDEs:
